The Brunch with a View Gala was an incredible experience, and we express our gratitude to everyone who joined us on that special day. With 150+ attendees, we not only met but exceeded our expectations, tripling our original funding goal. This achievement would not have been possible without the incredible team at FundaMental Health and the hospitality of Viewpoint Brewing Co., our gracious hosts.
Our San Diego community came together in a celebration of well-being and commitment to change. We started the morning with an amazing family-style meal prepared by Viewpoint’s Executive Chef, Dustin Karagheusian. The crowd favorite was by far the chicken and cinnamon waffles! Following brunch and mimosas, our founder, Wyatt, spoke about the FundaMental Health mission and how to get involved. He was very excited to share an update with the crowd – we have officially engaged our first two clients and begun onboarding mental health providers to our network. We’re doing it!
Up next at the event was our Luminary Speaker, Dr. Kulvinder Kaur, an Oxford-trained scientist, speaker, and industry executive who has focused much of her career on epigenetic research. Her findings have revealed compelling evidence that proper mental health intervention and treatment not only benefits the individual but can also have a generational impact, decreasing the likelihood that genetic trauma signatures pass along from one generation to the next. Dr. Kaur drove home the point that improving access to quality mental health care today has the potential to drastically improve the overall health of our community for generations to come. Her insights were eye-opening and motivating to us all. We are delighted by the momentum achieved at our inaugural event and excited to put the newly acquired support and funding to good use. We remain committed to helping our initial focus populations – youth, LGBTQIA+, families, and veterans in San Diego – as these populations experience mental health issues at disproportionate rates.
Follow along as we make an impact here in San Diego, helping one individual at a time. We appreciate your support.
